The clock has been made in the Empire style. The use of ancient Egyptian architectural and plastic motifs is typical of the clock.

The sculptural composition of the clock: graceful sphinxes are lying around the fountain, which is made in the form of a lion head.

Egyptian sphinx is a fantastic creature — the spirit of guard and the personification of power. He was depicted with lion’s body and human head (normally the portrait of Pharaoh). Sphinx is the symbol of force and reason.

The case of the clock may be made from a gemstone or white marble. The clock top and the pediment are decorated with bronze elements: floral motifs and foliage scrolls. The case has four feet.
