The clock is in the Empire style. The case is made from a gemstone. The clock is crowned with a flower vase in the Greek style. The base of the clock is made from bronze using decorative elements. The figure of Caryatid adorns the clock.
Caryatid is the priestess of Artemis temple. Artemis was one of the goddesses, Zeus’ daughter and Apollo’s twin-sister. Artemis was honoured as the patroness of hunting and fertility.
The sculpture plasticity is very expressive. The girl is slowly moving in the direction of the spectator as if ready to meet him and take to the temple of goddess. The movement makes her dress folds gently flow and shows how graceful her gait is.
The clock is fitted with quartz movement. Matching candelabra set available, model L5/1002.
