This clock has been made in the Classicism style.

The sculptural composition is true to life and looks harmonious. A young woman is comfortably sitting in her boudoir on a richly upholstered couch. She is surrounded by the interior of a palace: soft folds of the canopy drape over the well-proportioned pillars supporting the portico.

The design is composed of typical motifs of the antiquity (lotus flowers, acanthus leaves, amphorae).

The woman’s figure is very expressive — a gentle curve of the hand holding the book to the softly falling folds of her dress.

The base is made from a gemstone. Bronze feet at the case corners are designed as griffon claws.

8-day solid brass “bim-bam” movement, which indicates the time of the hour by striking the number of hours and a passing strike on the half hour.
