This clock has been made in the Baroque style, which appeared in the epoch of Lois IV in France.
8-day solid brass “bim-bam” movement, which indicates the time of the hour by striking the number of hours and a passing strike on the half hour.
The clock case is rich in decorative elements; the boy’s sculpture looks liberated, natural and vibrant. According to the artist’s intention the case has a patina finish with insets, which help to shade the colour of bronze to its advantage.
